Biomedical Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our Biomedical Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our medical devices and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain medical device security solutions to meet operational business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address medical device security issues and provide guidance on current information related to medical device security threats and technologies.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments of connected medical devices and develop strategies to mitigate security threats that could impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of medical devices or the information processed by these devices.
- Provide technical expertise to support the ongoing management of medical device security issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited Biomedical Engineering Technician/Technology program or equivalent qualifications, education, or experience.
- Current membership in OACETT.
- Experience as a Biomedical Technologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, medical instrumentation, troubleshooting, and recognized standards.
- Technical knowledge of PC's, servers, networking, and applications.
- Working knowledge of industry-recognized Information Technology and Security frameworks, including NIST Security Framework, ISO 27001, and ISO 27002, as well as provincial and federal security and privacy legislation.
- Knowledge of access control security products, tools, and techniques, network infrastructure, applications, and equipment pertinent to a large, distributed, heterogeneous computing environment.
- Firm knowledge of access control standards.
- At least one of the following industry certifications is an asset: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
- Organization and time management skills.
