Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of new HSIO connectors as an Engineering Manager at Amphenol ICC. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the global HSIO connectors engineering team and the local test laboratory team to drive product development and launch.

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to the design and development team to support project objectives.
  • Align team priorities and work assignments to maintain critical project milestones and customer commitments.
  • Lead the HSIO engineering team to develop new product designs, coordinate prototyping efforts, and launch them into production in coordination with design, NPI, and operations teams in China.
  • Direct engagement with customers and sales on product roadmaps, new product requirements, and committed timelines.
  • Support the development of marketing/engineering proposal concepts.
  • Provide monthly project status reports to management.
  • Offer mentorship to engineering team members to support employee development objectives.
  • Resolve engineering and design-related issues as needed.
  • Check, approve, and process drawings, BOMs, Item Masters.
  • Perform mechanical simulations and tolerance analyses as required.
  • Ensure designs meet price, performance, and manufacturability requirements to win new business.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure collaborative teams are working towards a common goal.
  • Occasional business travel.

Requirements

  • University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Working experience in 3D CAD systems – SolidWorks.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate a global team in support of product development.
  • Experience engineering connectors for high-speed signal integrity.
