**Job Summary**

As a Steel Fitter at Ocean Steel and Construction Limited, you will be responsible for the installation and fitting of structural metal or steel components. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Position and align structural metal or steel components using various tools and equipment.
  • Determine material requirements and task sequences using shop drawings and other technical documents.
  • Mark reference points on workpieces using measuring devices, squares, chalk, or soapstone.
  • Lift or move steel materials into position using overhead cranes or other lifting equipment.
  • Regularly use jigs, welding torches, and hand tools to complete tasks.

**Requirements:**

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment college program or equivalent experience.
  • Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block 1).
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in structural steel fabricating.
  • CSA approved steel toe boots.
