We are seeking a skilled Painter, Construction to join our team at Apple Hotel Group.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, and flame cleaning.
- Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and plan work to ensure efficient completion.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service, advising consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to dust, paint fumes, and other hazardous materials. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is essential.
