Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Apple Hotel Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our properties are beautifully finished and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including drywall taping and patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, and flame cleaning.
- Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, including measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for painting and finishing projects, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service, advising clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, and ensuring their satisfaction with the finished product.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting and decorating, with a focus on surface preparation and finishing.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
