About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Jzone Builders Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying and finishing coats of plaster, and ensuring a high-quality finish on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit
    • Apply and finish coats of plaster to achieve a smooth, even surface
    • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to provide a secure base for plaster
  • Preparation and Cleaning
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
    • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Worksite Environment
    • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to install drywall and plaster
    • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Worksite Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work at heights and in a dusty, noisy environment
    • Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Personal Qualities
    • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability
