Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all ingredients and cooking methods meet the strict guidelines of kosher cuisine.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific dietary needs and preferences.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean, safe, and meet the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment that promotes efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a kosher kitchen environment.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong understanding of kosher cuisine and cooking methods is essential.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 45 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
