At Evertz, we are seeking a highly skilled SMT Operator to join our team. As an SMT Operator, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of electronic components.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT line equipment to assemble electronic components
  • Set up and maintain machine and feeder systems
  • Verify board assembly prior to reflow
  • Perform daily maintenance of SMT equipment
  • Meet manufacturing and quality targets
  • Comply with all Evertz policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate
  • Minimum 2 years experience in SMT line operation
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to read values and correct polarity of surface mount components
  • General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment
  • WHMIS training

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations
  • Comply with established quality and housekeeping standards
  • Report any hazards or defects to management
  • Participate in regular safety training and meetings
