At Evertz, we are seeking a highly skilled SMT Operator to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:

The SMT Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMT line equipment, setting up machines and feeders, and verifying board assembly prior to reflow. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain SMT line equipment to ensure efficient and accurate production
  • Set up machines and feeders to meet production requirements
  • Verify board assembly prior to reflow to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Meet manufacturing and quality targets to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the production team

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate with a strong understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes
  • Minimum 2 years experience in SMT line operation or a related field
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read values and correct polarity of surface mount components
  • General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment
  • WHMIS training

Health and Safety:

  • Abide by and promote all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations
  • Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards
  • Report any contraventions of the Act or regulations or the existence of any hazard to the employer or supervisor
  • Shall not remove or make ineffective any protective device
  • Excellent academic background
