Job Summary

The Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Team. As a Float Team Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including acute care and critical care units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in acute care and critical care settings
  • Respond to increasing acuity needs and replace short notice/term needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current skills and certifications
  • Meet the physical and emotional demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients
Requirements
  • Current R.N. General Class Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in an acute care and critical care setting
  • Current BCLS certification and completed IV training
  • Completion of the Coronary Care 1 certificate or equivalent within the last two (2) years
  • Successful completion of a Patient Assessment Course within the past three (3) years
  • Experience caring for patients with ventilators, BIPAP, Special line care, peritoneal dialysis, and CVP
  • Specialty certifications, including ACLS, PALS, ATLS, TNCC, and Certified Emergency Care Course
