Aquatic Leadership Conductor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Leadership Conductor to lead and instruct specialty swimming programs for participants of all ages. The successful candidate will have a strong background in lifeguarding, swimming instruction, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and instruct specialty swimming programs in areas such as first aid, airway management, and lifeguarding.
  • Teach according to industry standards and evaluate participants to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and short-term core plans to facilitate progressive learning.
  • Prepare and present orientations to participants at the beginning of each program session.
  • Perform various administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Current Lifesaving Society Instructor certification.
  • Current Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid with CPR "C" certification.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to coach, mentor, and train a diverse range of students.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective computer and research skills.
  • Ability to work tactfully with staff and participants of all ages.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability and fitness level to perform aquatics instruction and rescue skills to standard.
  • Current Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Letter.
Specialist Level Requirements
  • Aquatic Leadership Conductor/Swim Specialist 1: 30-40 hours of additional training beyond Aquatics Instructor designation, including Examiner Standard Clinic and relevant courses.
  • Aquatic Leadership Conductor/Swim Specialist 3: 40-50 hours of additional training beyond Aquatics Instructor designation, including Examiner Standard Clinic and significant experience in Aquatics Supervisory capacity or as a Lifeguard or Instructor with leadership responsibilities.
