Claridge Homes is a leading land developer in Ottawa, ON, with a portfolio of residential communities, condos, retirement communities, and the Andaz hotel. We are seeking a skilled Land Development Planner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate properties for development feasibility and review Agreements of Purchase and Sale.
- Coordinate submissions for municipal, provincial, and federal planning approvals and liaise with consultants.
- Follow through on regulatory processes to obtain requisite approvals and meet with team and regulatory staff to resolve issues.
- Coordinate site servicing design, approvals, and tendering of contracts for works.
- Assist other departments with inquiries related to project financing, permit issuance, and general inquiries.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in leading development applications through the municipal planning process.
- Post-secondary education in planning, architecture, or engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software is essential, and experience with ACAD is a definite asset.
- Ability to coordinate multiple team players on a project and work on several projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and ability to speak at public meetings and municipal committees.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
