Land Development Planner

Claridge Homes is a leading land developer in Ottawa, ON, with a portfolio of residential communities, condos, retirement communities, and the Andaz hotel. We are seeking a skilled Land Development Planner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate properties for development feasibility and review Agreements of Purchase and Sale.
  • Coordinate submissions for municipal, provincial, and federal planning approvals and liaise with consultants.
  • Follow through on regulatory processes to obtain requisite approvals and meet with team and regulatory staff to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate site servicing design, approvals, and tendering of contracts for works.
  • Assist other departments with inquiries related to project financing, permit issuance, and general inquiries.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in leading development applications through the municipal planning process.
  • Post-secondary education in planning, architecture, or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software is essential, and experience with ACAD is a definite asset.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple team players on a project and work on several projects concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and ability to speak at public meetings and municipal committees.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
