About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Use Planner to join our team at Egis. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for delivering consulting work to private and public sector clients, managing project teams, budgets, and other aspects of project administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise project team members, as needed
  • Client management, including work to procure work from private and public sector clients
  • Review municipal and provincial planning documents and provide professional planning input and advice on land development projects
  • Conduct presentations before municipal Committees and Councils
  • Manage projects and coordinate approvals for development projects
Requirements
  • Completion of a university degree in land use planning or related discipline
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in land use planning profession, preferably including experience in the private-sector and with supporting municipal-sector clients with development/peer review and policy review services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French considered an asset)
  • Established skills and capabilities in project management, with the ability to manage dynamic projects of varying scales
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including the ability to provide leadership to a variety of technical professionals
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS considered an asset
