The Role:

We are seeking a driven and strong-minded Site Manager to join our team at a Canco location. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of Canco Gas Stations and Stores. The primary goal of the Site Manager is to ensure profitability of the site while providing excellent customer service as per Canco standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the overall operations of the gas station, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks.
  • Monitor and manage fuel inventory levels, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee the maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
  • Recruit, develop, train, and supervise all staff members, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to all site/employee safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of staff and customers.
  • Schedule employee shifts and manage staffing levels, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Resolve employee issues and conflicts, promoting a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gas station, adhering to high standards of presentation.
  • Monitor and manage daily cash and sales transactions, maintaining accurate records and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the ordering and receiving of fuel and other merchandise, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor and control losses due to theft, implementing measures to prevent and mitigate losses.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and other relevant data, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit reports to upper management as required, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Identify and communicate market opportunities, contributing to the growth and development of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations, maintaining a strong reputation for Canco.

Requirements:

  • Experience in gas, convenience, or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a management role.
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
  • Highly skilled in Conflict Management and Customer Service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
