Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Best Friends Children's Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs of our childcare centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that encourage creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Engage children in educational activities, including reading, teaching, and preparing snacks.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare rooms and furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and move children safely.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
