Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Best Friends Children's Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to provide high-quality care and education to children in our childcare centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children's development
  • Leading activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings
  • Encouraging children to express their creativity through various media
  • Engaging children in activities and preparing snacks and meals
  • Submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
