Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Electrical Safety Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and protecting our IT environment from security risks and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the monitoring and proactive protection of the IT environment for security and infrastructure risks.
  2. Direct the resolution of security incidents through the security incident life cycle.
  3. Support the enterprise SIEM and ensure timely remedy of security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
  4. Design, configure, maintain, and administer security, network, infrastructure systems, physical and virtual servers, role-based permissions, account administration, data protection, and governance.
  5. Manage project teams to integrate these systems into our information systems.
  6. Assist other IT professionals in project setup to develop and implement information systems.
  7. Resolve issues related to security, network, and infrastructure.
  8. Plan and deploy appropriate patches, fixes, enhancements, and updates.
  9. Support the development of Security Strategy and Security Policies using a risk-based methodology.
  10. Identify and actively mitigate security vulnerabilities in our systems, networks, and applications.
  11. Provide strategic and architectural advice in the areas of security and infrastructure.
  12. Act as a technical lead on projects requiring technical security and infrastructure knowledge.
  13. Support the development and management of ongoing IT service management framework.
  14. Support major incidents from report to resolution.
  15. Identify security training needs and provide training to users and teammates.
  16. Manage and maintain important vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  1. Requires knowledge of IT security, information technology, computer hardware, and applications software.
  2. Requires an excellent knowledge of English to document procedures and processes and good communications skills to discuss business problems and recommend information technology solutions.
  3. ITIL, IT security, and infrastructure certifications are desired.
  4. Hands-on experience with IT service management and related processes is required.

Experience:

  1. Requires experience in implementing and operating a full range of enterprise IT security and infrastructure solutions.
  2. Requires business experience sufficient to discuss business problems and recommend application solutions.
  3. Requires excellent business writing skills to document recommendations and proposals.
  4. Requires experience to identify training requirements and to plan and coordinate training activities.
