Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our computer applications and information systems.

About the Role:

The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and organizing the development and delivery of Information Security services, contingency planning, and disaster recovery to our business units. This includes overseeing access logs and privileges, investigating security breaches, and delivering Information Security programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of computer science, information technology, and telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate security breaches
  • Deliver Information Security programs
  • Coordinate contingency planning and disaster recovery
  • Review and assess security requests
  • Consult on Information Security standards and procedures
  • Provide technical advice and guidance
  • Identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of computer science, information technology, and telecommunications systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with enterprise security systems and networking products
  • Previous experience as a project leader or coordinator
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
