Job Summary

Epsilon Solutions is seeking an experienced Accessibility Compliance Specialist to join our team. This fixed-term contract position will be responsible for ensuring the accessibility compliance of a functional area in a product.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accessibility principles and guidelines, including WCAG 2.1 A/AA awareness and Section 508 certification. They will be responsible for coordinating testing with the offshore team, identifying key accessibility testing challenges and goals, and developing initial test plans.

The successful candidate will also prioritize which test plans to execute for specific app releases and launches, communicate the plan, updates, and status of the product effectively to the QA lead and product team, and work effectively with stakeholders to root cause and solve accessibility issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Test Point Of Contact (POC) for accessibility compliance of a functional area in a product.
  • Coordinate testing with the offshore team.
  • Identify key accessibility testing challenges/goals and develop initial Test Plan.
  • Prioritize which test plans to execute for specific app releases and launches.
  • Communicate the plan, updates, and status of the product effectively to the QA lead and product team.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders to root cause and solve accessibility issues.
Qualifications
  • Fundamentals of Accessibility, WCAG 2.1 A/AA awareness.
  • Section 508 certified (added advantage).
  • Quality Analyst: 5 years (preferred).
  • Test Point Of Contact (POC): 2 years (preferred).
  • Test Plan Development: 3 years (preferred).
  • WCAG 2.1 A/AA guidelines and accessibility principles: 3 years (preferred).
  • Accessibility Fundamentals: 3 years (preferred).
  • Accessibility compliance testing and management: 3 years (preferred).
  • Section 508 certification (preferred).

  • A competitive hourly rate of $30.00-$32.00 per hour.
  • A fixed-term contract for 12 months.
