Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Hi-Quality Homes Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

• Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for residential construction projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to construct and renovate residential structures
• Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects
• Supervise and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards
• Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and precision
• Train and supervise apprentices and other workers on construction techniques and best practices
• Estimate costs and materials for construction projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste
• Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and other computer systems to design and plan construction projects

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to heights, noise, dust, and outdoor conditions.

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
• Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and in outdoor conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to estimate costs and materials accurately
• Proficiency in CAD software and other computer systems
