About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional - Residential to join our team at enVision Community Living. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to individuals in their daily lives, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and hygiene.
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities, explore their interests, and build relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy to individuals, promoting their rights and dignity.
Requirements
  • No experience required, but experience in the disability sector is considered an asset.
  • Core competencies include advocacy, building relationships, championing change and innovation, facilitating growth and development, inclusive leadership, problem-solving and decision-making, resilience, resource management, strategic thinking, and valuing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to a vehicle are required for transportation purposes.
  • Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector are necessary.
