Job Summary:

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services for children and adult populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and public education and training of patients and families.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to students and provisional members.
  • Contribute to the education of other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Baccalaureate Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR – PT) or equivalent entry-level requirement in Physiotherapy.
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM).
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook/Email.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with management and staff within the region.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality.
  • Good work and attendance record.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
  • Requires a valid driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
