About Your Role as a Chief Systems Engineer:

The Chief Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering technical, cost, and schedule performance for all engineering content within the Integrated Communications Systems portfolio. This position requires strategic technical leadership, establishing and directing all aspects of the business unit's engineering policies, objectives, and initiatives based on long-term product and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure technical, cost, and schedule execution of the Engineering content of programs.
  • Manage multiple customer requirements, using analytical and strategic skills to guide the engineering team to successful program deliveries.
  • Collaborate across organizational boundaries to ensure smooth program transitions to production and deployment phases.
  • Interact with Division peers, Sector, Segment, and Corporate technical leaders, as well as diverse customers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; a Master's degree in Engineering or a Master's of Business Administration is an asset.
  • 15 years of applicable experience in a product development role, with 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading large engineering organizations.
  • Must hold an active Security Clearance.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must hold and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
