Project Coordinator Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall engineering deliverables for assigned projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Estimate, plan, and schedule project activities.
  • Coordinate with various disciplines to deliver successful solutions to clients.
  • Prepare project plans, including project execution plans (PEP) and design basis memorandums (DBM).
  • Manage project budgets and manpower schedules for engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality of drawings, models, and other design reviews.
  • Oversee construction work packages (CWPs), including bills of materials, isometrics, scope, layout, instrumentation lists, and specialty items lists.
  • Produce scopes of work for civil, piping, skids, and pipe rack modules.
  • Coordinate CWPs, trends, scope changes, design change notices (DCN), and field change notices (FCN).
  • Oversee the change management process and ensure its effective implementation.
  • Contribute to and monitor project KPIs, earned value, and controls reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience within engineering and design.
  • Knowledge of engineering terms, design requirements, processes, and document types.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support.
  • Understanding of project controls, reporting, and KPIs.
  • Ability to meet safety requirements to attend site visits.
  • Experience managing several mid to major/large-capital heavy oil (SAGD/CSS) projects throughout the full lifecycle.
