Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Analyst to join our team at Manulife Insurance Malaysia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data flowing to downstream applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily transactional and position controls to prevent or detect data quality issues and coordinate with operational teams for resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues and propose enhanced workflows to minimize future occurrences.
  • Review and refine existing controls/procedures to continuously improve the quality and ensure clear and concise documentation is created and maintained.
  • Support and perform period closure validations.
  • Control, review, and minimize manual processes and inefficiencies, reduce operational risk.
  • Maintain partnerships with collaborators via periodic working groups to address outlier issues and encourage process improvement.
  • Participate and/or lead initiatives as assigned.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of inclusion and respect within the team and organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
  • Comfortable in learning new technologies and working in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication in both English and/or French (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the asset management or financial industry.
  • Experience working in an environment where controls and daily deadlines are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps.
