Job Description

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure that our guests receive exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook pastry items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work safely and efficiently in the kitchen, adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • Prepare food items as directed by the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef, following standardized recipes and specifications.
  • Keep your workstation clean and organized, including fridges/freezers, countertops, and stovetops.
  • Ensure station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard.
  • Minimize overproduction and food waste to reduce costs.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Handle, store, prepare, and serve food safely, following hotel and government guidelines.
  • Report any deficiencies or issues to the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of pastry experience.
  • Valid City of Toronto Food Handler Certificate required.
  • Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards is an asset.
  • Certificate or Diploma from a recognized culinary school.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
