Purchaser Role Overview

In this Purchaser role, you will be responsible for procuring products and services necessary for production and sales in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Purchase materials and supplies required for production, sales, and inventory management.
  • Expedite purchase orders as needed.
  • Verify items from technical specifications and drawings.
  • Adjust purchasing priorities to accommodate rush orders.
  • Review and analyze technical specifications for materials.
  • Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Coordinate with freight agencies for shipping and delivery.
  • Reconcile accounts payable issues within the A/P software.
  • Prepare and store record-keeping documents as required by Compliance.
  • Assist the Warehouse with order information and discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and ability to perform material takeoffs considered an asset.
  • High proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health spending account, employer-paid premiums, and retirement plan contributions, we also provide on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement within our organization.
