Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signal System Manager to lead our signal construction team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all signal systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.

About the Role
  • Lead a team of construction personnel to install and maintain signal systems in accordance with CN's and FRA's standards.
  • Oversee the supervision of employees on assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
  • Management: Lead assigned personnel to ensure signal construction work is performed with CN's and the Federal Railroad Administration's (FRA) standards and in conjunction with applicable collective bargaining agreements.
  • Safety Compliance: Build safety compliance and improve safety results through efficiency testing and safety walkabouts.
  • Capital Projects: Plan, implement, and handle capital projects to ensure the execution follows CN and FRA standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in signals and communications, with at least 2 years in signal construction and supervisory roles.
  • Education/Certification/Designation: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED), 2-year Technical Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
Salary and Benefits

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
