Job Summary
Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our Global Infrastructure and Project Finance team in Toronto. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the analysis of infrastructure and project finance transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of complex infrastructure and project finance transactions, including evaluating innovative credit structures and participating in global rating criteria development.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the global infrastructure and project finance market, including trends, innovations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other team members to develop and implement rating approaches and criteria for complex credits, sectors, and topics.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of credit reports, industry publications, and other relevant sources to stay up-to-date on market developments and trends.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, issuers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and delivery of high-quality services.
- Participate in the development and implementation of rating methodologies and criteria, and provide input on rating committee discussions and decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, economics, or engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in a capital markets and/or credit analysis role, preferably in the infrastructure or project finance sector.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex financial models and structures, and to ask probing questions to issuers and their advisors.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and to contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
