Overview


Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly experienced Occupational Therapist II to lead our community mental health team. In this role, you will provide clinical mentorship, supervision, and leadership to allied health services in the Medicine Hat Addiction and Mental Health Outreach Team.



About the Role


This full-time position offers an estimated salary of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Senior Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective client care. You will also ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations.



Responsibilities



  • Provide clinical mentorship, supervision, and leadership to allied health services
  • Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs
  • Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in program development and operational planning
  • Mentor students and team members as assigned


Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Three years previous experience working in a community setting
  • Ability to conduct sensory and environmental assessments
