Child and Family Mental Health Specialist

This is an advanced mental health role that works independently and collaboratively as a Child and Family Mental Health Specialist providing services to children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing evidence-informed and best practices in assessment, treatment, addiction, and mental health interventions, support, and follow-up to clients.
- Performing restricted activities such as psychosocial interventions to address full range of addiction and mental health issues.
- Working in an integrated and collaborative way with a multi-disciplinary team to improve treatment and support access for addiction and mental health for children, youth, and families in the community.
This position requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work (clinical specialization), Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy. Active registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college is also required.
Minimum 2 Years Experience:A minimum of 2 years in the last 5 years of experience in mental health, with comprehensive mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy with children, youth, and families.
Preferred Trainings:Additional trainings such as Circle of Security Parenting or Connect Parenting are preferred but not required.
