Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media & Engagement Assistant to support the development and execution of social media campaigns at York University. The successful candidate will assist in creating multimedia content, planning social initiatives, and preparing communication materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns to engage with York University's audience.
• Create multimedia content, including photos, videos, and animations, to support social media initiatives.
• Support the planning of social initiatives and marketing events to promote York University's programs and services.
• Prepare a variety of communication materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, and press releases.
Requirements:
• Current York University student in a relevant field, such as Communication & Social Studies, Cinema & Media Studies, Design, Digital Media, Film Production, or Visual Art.
• Previous communications experience, including content generation on social & digital media platforms.
• Familiarity with social media management tools, such as Sprout Social, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Proficient in photography, videography, and animation, with the ability to creatively write content to engage an intended audience.
• Ability to perform online searches, gather and organize information, and meet deadlines while organizing time effectively.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, and present data in a variety of document and display formats.
