About the Job:
We're seeking an experienced Environmental Inspector to join our team at Palmer Toronto. As an Environmental Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our construction projects meet environmental regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough environmental inspections and monitoring to ensure compliance with provincial regulations and environmental management plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of environmental mitigation measures and notify contractors of any issues that require attention.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure construction activities align with environmental plans and procedures.
- Document environmental conditions and observations, and maintain accurate records of construction activities and environmental conditions.
- Compile monitoring reports and inspection forms, and contribute to the development of environmental management plans.
- Work collaboratively with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Science or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in construction environmental monitoring and soil/sediment/groundwater sampling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet challenging deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
