We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Lawyer to join our team at Common Law Firm, a dynamic family law practice located in downtown Victoria, British Columbia.

Salary & BenefitsWe offer an attractive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, reflecting the living wage in the region. Additionally, we provide flexible hours with remote work options, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
Job DescriptionThis full-time, on-site role for a Junior Lawyer involves conducting thorough legal research, drafting high-quality legal documents, attending court proceedings, meeting clients, and supporting senior lawyers with case preparation and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations
- Draft accurate and well-structured legal documents, including contracts and pleadings
- Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular updates and support
- Collaborate with senior lawyers to prepare and analyze cases
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited institution
- Membership in the Law Society of British Columbia in good standing
- Strong research and writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of family law and civil litigation, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
