We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Appletree Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients administratively, including reception, scheduling, and collecting payments.
- Prepare patients clinically, including hosting patients in the exam room and performing triage.
- Apply scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills as required.
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage) effectively.
- Maintain inventory levels by stocking exam rooms and other areas of the clinic.
- Ensure a clean and quiet environment by cleaning/sanitizing exam rooms, foyers, and bathrooms.
- Perform opening and/or closing procedures of the clinic.
- Manage records and documents, as well as other administrative duties as assigned.
- Opportunity to train in one or more specialty programs, following a successful 3-month probationary review.
- Reside in Ontario.
- Be permanently eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid Work Permit for at least 12 months.
- Be able to work on your feet all day, moving around the clinic to perform various tasks.
- Hold 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- An undergraduate or bachelor's degree in health science, Kinesiology, General Science, or Arts is considered an asset.
- Have 6 months to 1 year of experience in a customer service environment.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in other languages an asset.
- Be committed, reliable, and flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Be willing to work at multiple clinic/office locations within the region.
- Be passionate about personal learning, training, and ongoing development.
- A competitive base rate of $16.55 per hour.
