Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at CEFA Early Learning Victoria - Westshore. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in creating and implementing engaging learning programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support the preparation of snacks and the arrangement of rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in a childcare setting is an asset.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
