Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at CEFA Early Learning Victoria - Westshore. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support the assessment and documentation of children's development, including preparing learning plans and submitting written observations.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts.
  • Prepare snacks and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the child care centre.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in a child care setting is an asset.
  • Certification in Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, part-time position with 30-37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
