Family Medicine Physician

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary health care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of patient care.
- Support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program by participating in teaching and mentoring activities.
- Participate in urgent care rotations to improve access to care and provide emergency coverage when required.
- Work with other providers to provide after-hours access and emergency coverage when needed.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
