Family Medicine Physician

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Yarmouth Medical Home. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and practice efficiency.
- Support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program by providing teaching and mentorship opportunities to residents and medical students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to identify and address patient needs, and to develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
