About the Role:
The Guest Attendant plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing exceptional care and support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents, while also contributing to a positive and inclusive community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous and respectful service.
- Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
- Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
- Perform laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Deal tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families, and report any concerns or complaints to the supervisor.
- Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
- Current First Aid/CPR training.
- Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal Support Worker Certificate is preferred.
