Meat Department Supervisor

About the Role:
The Meat Supervisor is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading the Meat Department team to success. As a Meat Supervisor, you will be the go-to person in the absence of the Department Manager and Assistant, ensuring a smooth operation of the department and providing coaching and development to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the Meat Department team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Coach and develop staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized department.
- Act as the department's subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to staff and customers.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Meat Cutting Certificate required.
- Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Full knowledge of department operations and skills.
