Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Alberta Health Services.
About the Role:
In this critical role, you will be responsible for producing and recording magnetic resonance images for interpretation by radiologists or cardiologists. Your expertise will contribute to the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology in patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients for examination, review patient history, and explain procedures
- Respond to patients' physical and psychological needs throughout the scanning procedure
- Maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging program or equivalent qualification
- Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cancer care
- Ability to work a rotating schedule as assigned
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000-$105,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
