Your Opportunity:

The Royal Alexandra Hospital is a leading healthcare institution known for its comprehensive services, advanced facilities, and commitment to patient-centered care. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will work in the general ultrasound department, the ECHO lab, and the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic. Conduct a range of standardized and complex ultrasound services essential for diagnosing and monitoring diseases and pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations
  • Review medical histories
  • Interpret procedures
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images
  • Assist in diagnosis, clinical interventions, and patient management

Salary:

$40.96-$52.83 per hour (based on 37.5 hours/week)

About You:

To be successful as a Diagnostic Sonographer, you must have excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will need to work effectively with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Your role requires standing for long periods, pushing and pulling stretchers, and lifting up to 50lbs.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program
  • Active registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
