About the Opportunity

Zurich Canada is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Consultant to support the corporate development activities. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and strategy execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic management, with experience in the insurance industry. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of business strategy for designated business units, as well as executing various strategic initiatives across Zurich Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and support select strategy development and strategy execution activities of Zurich Canada.
  • Support Zurich Canada's corporate development activities, including target company profiling, due diligence, business case development, and document preparation.
  • Evaluate the business operating environment, identify possible opportunities/issues, and assist in developing solutions to support the achievement of strategic and operational business objectives.
  • Engaged in defining the value proposition of designated area/business unit in alignment with local and Group strategy.
  • Support in designing and developing executive presentation materials and assist in the communication of strategy for key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains a current analysis of the business' position relative to its goals and objectives.
  • Provides robust proprietary research and analytical solutions along key strategic areas.
  • Co-leads or manages relevant workstreams or projects to ensure completion of key deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop other members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in Strategic Management.
  • Insurance industry experience required, preferably Property & Casualty (P&C) experience.
  • Travel 5%-10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Insurance industry experience.
