Pincher Creek, Canada Heritage Inn Hotel Full time

Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance tasks within the hotel.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas.
  • Perform repairs on hotel equipment and buildings.
  • Order and pick up materials as needed.
  • Respond to guest concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate daily activities and schedules of maintenance staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Provincial Health and Safety regulations.
  • Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked.
  • Ensure the boiler and electrical rooms are clean, safe, and unobstructed.
  • Inform the General Manager of all deficiencies that could result in issues.
  • Inform Front Desk staff of all out of order guest rooms and upcoming maintenance projects.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate outside contractors.
  • Attend department head meetings as required.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Establish and follow a schedule for preventative maintenance.
  • Keep a detailed log book of daily activities and observations.

Requirements:

  • Safe work practices.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform and dress code standards.
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and within time restraints.
  • Availability for shift and weekend work.
  • Availability on a 24-hour basis or alternative contact.
  • Cooperative work style.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Safe operation of power and hand tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS program.
  • General knowledge of tourism industry and attractions in the area.
  • Basic computer operation skills.

Important Notes:

  • The job requires a rigorous pace of manual work.
  • Long periods of standing may be required.
  • Physical labour and heavy lifting are necessary.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one year experience in a maintenance related position.
  • Hotel and/or management experience is an asset.
