Truck Driver

At Can Roots Carrier Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient cargo handling.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, documenting all aspects of vehicle condition.
- Collaborate with central dispatch to receive and relay critical information.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for accurate reporting.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Strong judgment and organizational skills
- Reliability and teamwork
- Ability to work 35-40 hours per week
