Job Summary
Kidstart Pediatric Therapy Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapy services to pediatric patients, collaborating with medical professionals, and designing rehabilitation programs to maximize a child's function in daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to identify areas of need and develop targeted treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to set and achieve occupation-focused goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing direct service, consultation, and education to promote optimal outcomes.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Stay current with research and best practices to establish and support evidence-based therapy approaches.
- Provide in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as needed to promote a child's success in educational settings.
Requirements:
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques for improving functional abilities.
