We have recently opened a Pharmacy Care Clinic at Village Landing, St. Albert, offering opportunities for pharmacists to practice patient care in a clinic environment while supporting dispensary and pharmacy workflow activities as required.

In this role:

  • You will conduct patient assessments to prescribe new medications or extend existing ones.
  • Travel Health Consultations will be part of your responsibilities.
  • Chronic Disease Management through medication reviews is crucial.
  • You will administer medications by injection and perform Point of Care screening/swabs.
  • Providing lab requisitions and interpreting lab results are also key tasks.
  • Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to establish circles of care for patients is essential.
  • Counselling patients on prescription medication use is a critical aspect of the job.
  • Dispensary and pharmacy workflow activity will also be part of your daily responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree is mandatory.
  • An Alberta Pharmacist License and Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) certification or currently pursuing certification are required.
