About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join our team at Right-A-Way Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting projects are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a smooth painting process.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques.
  • Wall Covering: Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan the painting process to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, as you will be working at heights and in physically demanding environments.
  • Colour Vision: You must be able to distinguish between colours and ensure that the final result is visually appealing.
  • Experience: We are looking for candidates with 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the painting industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, as you will be working with a diverse team and communicating with clients.
  • Work Schedule: The role requires a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
