Job Summary

Medavie Health Services is a national leader in primary health care solutions, delivering innovative community paramedicine programs and mobile integrated health services across the country. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team as a Mobile Mental Health Clinician.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing high-quality patient care through ground and air ambulance services, medical communications, and mobile integrated health/community paramedicine programs. As a Mobile Mental Health Clinician, you will serve in two rotating capacities, providing direct service to clients in the field as a member of a Mobile Crisis Team and providing triage and telehealth services to clients in distress.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Counselling Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work, with significant clinical experience in assessing and treating mental health and addiction-related issues. You will be responsible for conducting physical, mental, psychosocial, and functional environmental assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other agencies and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct service to clients in the field and via telehealth
  • Collaborate with Mobile Crisis Team members, healthcare providers, and community partners
  • Develop and implement administrative and clinical programs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Counselling Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work
  • Significant clinical experience in mental health and addiction-related issues
  • Strong assessment and treatment skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
